UPDATE: We are officially moving to the new location on March 28, 2022!
After lots of input from our community and a lengthy search for the right new home, we have decided to move The Factory to the beautiful 77 Monroe Center building! We will take up the entire 6th floor to begin a new era. This space is going to be everything and more.
We’re excited that we’ll be even more centrally located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. The new building is an art-deco structure with tons of character and history! (And yes! There is a mail chute!)
New additions:
- Private/executive offices (learn more here!)
- Two more conference rooms
- Additional video call rooms
- Private bathrooms (one including a shower)
- Private bike storage
- Virtual office services
- Dedicated super-fast fiber Internet (both wifi and plug-in available)
- Parking garage attached with one hour of free parking for you and your clients
And not to mention that we’ll be within walking distance of more restaurants, shops, and the buzz of Monroe Center.
Demolition (and construction) has started and what a relief it was to walk through the space and envision its future. We have started to narrow down on finishes as well as starting the journey of furniture shopping. We believe that this new space will continue to carry on and foster the same spirit and connection/values of our current location.
As we near this new and exciting era for The Factory, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude and undying appreciation for the members of our community. We are so grateful to have shared each collaborative moment in our current space for the past ten years, and joyed by all of the memories our community has shared throughout that time. The Factory would not be the unique collective it is without its members, and we look forward to the continuation and progress of our coworking community even more in the years to come.
