The first coLearning Microsoft .Net course is underway and almost to the half-way point.
CoLearning’s first course covering the Microsoft .Net platform was a popular addition to the coLearning’s course offerings. Instructor J. Tower is leading a full class of developers in a weekly session covering a variety of .Net topics including object-oriented programming, database-interaction and the ASP.net web platform.
In addition to classroom instruction, the students will be making site visits to local software development businesses to get a better understanding of the unique work process for different software development firms. These visits will give these students the unique opportunity to get insights from company leaders into the culture and environment that allows these companies to be successful and these kinds of important skills they look for when hiring new developers.
Mary Brown, coLearning Program Director, will also be leading the students in two sessions focused on building “the business of you”, developing the interpersonal skills and processes for personal branding.
Graduation for the .Net course is November 19th. If you are interested in becoming a hiring partner for coLearning, please contact us here.
CoLearning is currently setting up a schedule for more courses for 2014. We will send an announcement when that schedule is available.
